Twenty structures and fourteen product designs have been selected for the Wood Awards 2017 shortlist. Established in 1971, the Wood Awards is the UK’s premier competition for excellence in architecture and product design in the world’s only naturally sustainable material. The Awards are free to enter and aim to recognise, encourage and promote outstanding design, craftsmanship and installation using wood. The shortlist will be showcased at the London Design Fair (Stand B05, Hall T2), Old Truman Brewery, 21st-24th September.

Alexander Lervik has been one of Sweden’s leading designers for almost 20 years. His quest for innovation speaks louder than the passion for creating beautiful objects. His stand at the London Design Festival this year will be inspired by Scandinavian light, and the centrepiece will be the Aritco HomeLift, the world’s first design-led domestic lift, which he developed for award-winning Swedish lift specialist Aritco.
